SERVICE AGREEMENT
rev 7/2/2024
Services:
CHARLO Training (the “Trainer”) shall provide dog training services to Client pursuant to the program and on the terms set forth below. The training program shall include the provision of one training collar with transmitter or remote (“Equipment”), one Mendota Brand slip lead (also “Equipment”), and individual instruction to client on the use of the equipment and methods of training the pet. Additional training equipment may be provided as needed at the sole discretion of the Trainer.
Program Duration:
Charlo Training programs may include either a stay with a Trainer, and/or personalized instruction in the Clients home. Included in each program are regularly scheduled training sessions, no closer than 5 days apart, for up to two (2) months after the initial start date, after which period, lessons may continue at $125.00/session with a cancellation fee of $10.00 for any lesson canceled with less than 24 hours notice.
Group Training:
Group Trainings are available at the conclusion of every training program in the form of a $49.99 monthly subscription. Clients may attend as many group trainings as they wish so long as they have an active subscription. The Group Training subscription will be billed automatically two (2) months from the start of the program (the date of the first lesson or dropoff in the trainer’s home). Clients may stop/start this subscription at any time. For clients outside of a membership, there is a drop-in rate of $30 per class.
Scheduling:
All training sessions are scheduled by appointment and Client assumes the sole responsibility for scheduling all training sessions.
No-Show/Late Cancellation Policy:
In the event the client needs to cancel a session or not take part in a group training, we request a prompt cancellation as possible. If the client cancels the group training reservation or scheduled lesson within 24 hours, the client understands their account will be assessed a $10 cancellation/no-show fee, and the card on file will be charged that amount. In the event the client is not at a scheduled one-on-one session, there is a no-show fee of $45. This fee directly compensates the trainer for their time.
Indemnification/Liability:
A portion of the training program may be conducted in private or public, individually or in small or large groups, which will expose the pet to other animals. Client is responsible for the control, conduct, and training of the pet. Client is solely liable for any injury to persons or damage to property caused by the pet. Client hold harmless and shall indemnify and defend Trainer from any and all injuries or damage caused by the pet whatsoever. Client agrees that although Trainer can provide equipment and instruction for the training of the pet, Trainer does not maintain control of the pet and Client is responsible for successful training, control, and conduct of the pet at all times. If the pet is aggressive, Client shall muzzle during all training sessions and Client shall be responsible for avoiding potentially problematic situations. Client shall follow all instructions for the equipment and shall not leave the equipment on the pet unattended or overnight.
Results:
All dogs have different temperaments and their owners vary in ability and willingness to follow the program; therefore, results will vary. At the conclusion of the program, Trainer will have Client demonstrate the training skills learned by the pet. These skills shall include obedience to certain verbal commands and response to proper use of equipment. There is no guarantee we will achieve any particular behavior. Client understands and acknowledges they are purchasing guidance and not behaviors.
Image release:
Trainer may photograph and/or video training sessions for future use in training, advertisement or other purposes normal to business operations. Client consents to trainers use of images of client and the pet in such manner without remuneration. Client may request any image/video of them be removed from any medium, but acknowledges there is no obligation for Charlo Training to do so.
Payment:
The Training program fee is deemed earned upon conclusion of the first training session. The training program fee set forth under terms above, either with payment arrangement or in full, is due prior to delivery of the equipment or provision of any instruction. A fee of $50 shall be charged for any check returned unpaid by your financial institution for any reason. Should a check be returned, all instruction will be discontinued until the training fee and returned check fee are paid in full. Should collection efforts become necessary, Trainer may recover all costs of collection, including reasonable attorney fees.
